A. Thomas Correia, D.D.S.
Dr. Tom Correia has been providing outstanding dental care in this East Providence office since 1976. He was raised in North Attleboro Massachusetts and attended public schools there. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Villanova University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from Georgetown University.
Following his graduation from dental school, Dr. Correia traveled to Lesotho, South Africa where he provided free dental care for its extremely poor third world population.
Dr. Correia stays up to date on the latest advances in dentistry by attending numerous continuing education courses and maintaining an active membership in the following professional organizations:
- American Dental Association
- Rhode Island Dental Association
- Providence District Dental Society
- Seattle Study Club
- Providence Plantations Implant Study Club
He is a fellow in both the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), and the American College of Dentists (FACD)
Dr. Correia currently serves on the board of directors for Delta Dental of Rhode Island. He also serves on the board of directors for Donated Dental Services (DDS), where he provides free dental care. This organization has donated over 4 million dollars of free dental care to needy Rhode Islanders.
Dr. Correia's office and dental team currently serve as a training site for interning dental assistant students enrolled in the certified Dental assistant programs at CCRI (Community College of Rhode Island) and Lincoln Technical Institute.
Dr. Correia's hobbies include exercise, travel, fishing, and driving his antique car (Morris Minor Traveler). He especially enjoys spending time with family: his wife Maryann, their havanese dog "Jackson", their two married children and two grandchildren.
